i LOVE this record
in which Paul basically invents Elephant 6..decamping to Nigeria down most of his band members (they all quit, Paul’s not the most easy going guy) using a shoestring thin EMI studio to fabricate the effect of “Abbey Road” style grandeur but listen to that lo-fi drum sound!
And the bridge at 1:30 is as blood pumpingly ecstatic as anything he ever wrote for...
